Dekrete des Demos von Halasarna über Spenden für den Apollontempel

ἐπὶ μονάρχου Φιλώτα, μηνὸς Δαλίου τετράδι,Θευγένης Ἑκατοδώρου εἶπε· ἑλέσθαι ἄνδραςτέσσαρας, ὅπως πορισθέντων χρημάτωνἐν τάχει τὰ κατάλοιπα τῶν ἔργων τοῦ ναοῦτοῦ Ἀπόλλωνος κατασκευασθῆι καὶ μὴ κιν–δυνεύσηι τὰ συντετελεσμένα ἔργα τᾶςὀροφᾶς καὶ τοῦ θυρώματος ἐπιγενομένουχρόνου πλείονος καταφθαρῆμεν τάν τε συν–αντίλαμψιν τᾶς κατασκευᾶς τοῦ ναοῦμὴ μόνον ἁ πόλις φαίνηται πεποιημένα, ἀλλὰκαὶ ὁ θεὸς ἀπὸ τῶν ὑπαρχόντων αὐτῶι χρή–μάτων καὶ τοὶ δηλόμενοι ἐπαγγείλασσθαι εἰςταῦτα συντελεσθέντος τε τοῦ ναοῦ ἐπιφα–νέστερον τὰ κατὰ τὸ ἱερὸν ἐξάγηται, ἀγαθᾶιτύχαι, δεδόχθαι τὸς μὲν νεωποίας τελέσαι τοῖςαἱρεθεῖσιν ἀνδράσιν ἀπὸ τῶν τοῦ θεοῦ χρημάτωνδραχμὰς v ΧΧ v, τῶν δὲ δαμοτᾶν καὶ τῶν ἄλλωνπολιτᾶν καὶ παροίκων ἐπαγγείλασθαι τὸς δηλο–μένος ἐς τὰν κατασκευὰν τοῦ ναοῦ ἕκαστονμὴ ἐλάσσω δραχμᾶν τριάκοντα, ποιεύμενοι τὰνμὲν ἐπαγγελίαν ἐν ἐνιαυτῶι ἐν ταῖς συνόδοιςταῖς γινομέναις ἐν τῶι δάμωι ἄρχοντος Δαλίουτοῦ ἐπὶ Φιλώτα, τὰν δὲ καταβολὰν τοῦ ἀργυρίου πο–εῖσθαι ἐπὶ τὸς ἄνδρας τὸς αἱρεθέντας ἐν τρισὶνκαταβολαῖς, διδόντες τὰ<ν> μὲμ πράταν μετὰ τὸ[τὰ]ν ἐπαγγελίαν γενέσθαι παραχρῆμα, τὰν δὲ ἐ–[χομ]έναν ἐν ἑξαμήνω[ι] κ̣αὶ τὰν ἄλλαν ὡσαύτως·[ὅπως] δὲ κ̣αὶ τῶν ἐπ̣[αγγειλαμ]ένων ὑπάρχηι ὑ–[πόμναμα – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –]

ἐς ὅ κα ταί τε ἐπαγγελίαι πέτωντι καὶ ἐκ τᾶς πόλιός τιψαφισθῆι· συντελεσθέντων δὲ τῶν ἔργων αἴ τινά κα πε–ριῆι ἐκ τᾶν ἐπαγγελιᾶν χρήματα ἀποδόντω τοὶ ἄν–δρες ἐφ᾿ ὧν κα πέτῃ ναπόαις τοῖς ἐν ἀρχᾶι εὖσιν· τοὶ δὲναποῖαι διδόντω εἰς τὰς φυλὰς τοῖς ἐπιμηνίοις, καθὰκαὶ πρότερον ἐδίδουν εἰς τὰς δύο ἁμέρας· τὸ δὲ ψάφισ–μα τόδε ἀναγραψάντω τοὶ ἄνδρες τοὶ ἁιρημένοι ἐ–πὶ τὸ αὐτὸ τῶι πρότερον κυρωθέντι ψαφίσματι ἐπὶ μο–νάρχου Φιλώτα.

Unter dem monarchos Philotas, im Monat Dalios, am vierten;Theugenes S.d. Hekatodoros stellte den Antrag: dass vier Männergewählt werden, damit, wenn Geld verschafft worden ist,zügig die ausstehenden Arbeiten an dem Tempeldes Apollon ausgeführt werden und nicht die bereitsausgeführten Arbeiten am Dach und an den Türenin Gefahr geraten, wenn noch weitereZeit vergeht, zunichte zu werden, und damit bei dergemeinsamen Inangriffnahme der Bauarbeiten an dem Tempelnicht nur die Stadt allein öffentlich auftritt, sondernauch der Gott von den ihm zur Verfügung stehenden Mittelnund solche Privatleute, die willens sind, dafür eine Geldspendeanzusagen, und damit nach der Vollendung des Tempelsalles, was das Heiligtum betrifft, noch glänzender ausgeführt werde, zu Glückund Heil!, möge man beschließen: dass die Tempelpfleger zahlen an diegewählten Männer aus den Geldern des Gottes2000 Drachmen, und diejenigen von den Demengenossen und den anderenBürgern und Mitbewohnern, die eine Spende fürden Bau am Tempel ansagen wollen, jedernicht weniger als dreißig Drachmen; sie sollen dieAnsage im Laufe eines Jahres abgeben bei den Versammlungen,die im Demos stattfinden, beginnend im Daliosunter dem monarchos Philotas; dass sie die Zahlung des Geldestätigen vor den gewählten Männern in dreiRaten, wobei sie die erste geben unmittelbarnachdem die Ansage geschehen ist, diefolgende im (nächsten) Halbjahr und die andere ebenso.Damit aber auch von den angesagten (Spenden) ein Zeugnisbleibe - - -

bis die angesagten (Spenden) gezahlt sind und von Seiten der Stadt einBeschluss vorliegt. Wenn die Arbeiten beendet sind, sollen, wenn etwas anGeld übrig ist von den angesagten (Spenden), die Männer, in derenAmtszeit sie gezahlt wurden, sie den amtierenden Tempelpflegern übergeben.Die Tempelpfleger sollen sie in die Phylen geben an die Monatspriester, wie sieauch früher schon gaben für die beiden Tage (der Pythea). Diesen Beschlusssollen die gewählten Männer aufzeichnenauf ein uns dieselbe (Stele) mit dem früheren Beschluss, der unter dem monarchosPhilotas in Kraft getreten ist.

until the promised (funds) are spent and whatever the cityshould vote; when the work has been completed, if any moneyis left over from the funds promised, the menunder whom they were spent are to return it to the sacral-administrators in office;the sacral-administrators are to give it to the month officers in the tribes, asthey also did previously during the two days (of the festival); thisdecree the men elected are to inscribe onthe same (stone) as the previously ratified decree undermonarchos Philotas.
